Yampa Street Fire

On Sunday January 15, 2017, South Metro Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in the 7300 block of South Yampa after a neighbor reported smoke coming from a garage. When crews arrived they found smoke showing from a two story detached garage and began fire attack operations. Firefighters searched the interior, found no one inside and flames on the first floor were quickly extinguished. Fire investigators confirm that marijuana was discovered inside and the cause was electrical in nature.
