Horseshoe Lane Fire

At 7:53 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017, South Metro Firefighters were dispatched to a confirmed residential structure fire at 11892 Horseshoe Lane in Parker. 911 callers could see flames coming from the home and shooting above the roof. Firefighters from Station 41 were first to arrive and they discovered that two homes were burning. A large 2.5-inch attack line was used to quickly extinguish the large volume of flame consuming the exterior of both homes; then crews advanced smaller 1.75-inch attack hoses into each house. Due to the severity of the incident a 2nd Alarm was called which brought a total of 25 vehicles and 82 personnel. Firefighters conducted searches and found that no one was inside either residence. Flames had already spread to the interior of both homes and crews stopped the fire from creating further damage. 2 family pets were unharmed and placed inside of a Parker Police car to keep warm. The scene was under control within 30 minutes and investigators returned on Saturday morning to determine what caused the fire.
